Our Projects
Humanity Africa currently has three projects: Clean water supply in rural areas, Wheelchair supply, and Reusable sanitary pads for women and girls in the villages.
Clean Water Supply
Uganda still has a major challenge of clean water supply. In villages, people still share water with animals. On top of this, the distances travelled to collect water are relatively long. Humanity Africa has so far constructed four community water tanks for rain water harvesting in Sembabule and one borehole in Gulu. We are currently working on a water dam that will cost us around $8500
Wheelchiar Supply
The government of Uganda has done a major job in the immunization of the population, which has reduced disabilities by a significant margin. However, there remains quite a reasonable number of children who are disabled and without access to wheelchairs. This not only affects them but also their caregivers. Currently a wheel chair costs between $130 to $150
Reusable Sanitary Pads
The poverty level in Uganda’s villages is very high to the point that the cost of a reusable sanitary towel is close or above the budget of a whole household for a whole month. Some children have not been able to make it to school on during that time of month simply because they cannot afford sanitary towels. Currently, each reusable sanitary towel pack goes for $5. Your support is highly welcome
